Wawel Royal Castle, Tapestry Exhibition
March 2021 Poland, Krakow Wawel Royal Castle, Tapestry Exhibition
Our task was to create a projection to open the exhibition.
A metal, dense, latticed structure in the form of a concave quarter of a sphere was designed. Its interior served as a screen illuminated by two projectors crossing each other.
The right part of the image came from the projector placed on the left side, while the left side of the screen was illuminated by the right projector. We used Epson projectors with interchangeable optics and a brightness of 12,000 lumens each for this purpose.
To ensure synchronous playback of the image, Brightsign players were employed. The biggest challenge was calibrating the image, which, due to the concave shape of the object and the cross-illumination, was initially difficult to control.
